Thread rolling

thread Sheeter

Escapeágueda is the ideal partner for the provision of services of thread rolling as standard, with experience in developing special profiles. Trapezoidal thread spindles manufactured with diameters between 30 mm and 60 mm. Other diameters on request.

Thread rolling process:

Screw for bearing lamination/compression is a cold forming process. This process ensures the production of a thread with a smooth uniform surface and need higher physical qualities.

Advantages of cold rolling:

  • tensile strength
  • fatigue resistance
  • material savings
  • precision
  • speed and economy

This method of screw Rolling is a production method that involves print the screw or bolt in a basic material, rather than cut them. This process makes use of a tempered steel-tipped tool in doughnut shape. The raw material, not formed, is rotated at a speed controlled, while the screw-shaped tool is pressed against it under high pressure, making it shaped screw thread to be printed on the surface of raw material. The tool is constantly kept under pressure and moves into the stock until they are in their full depth. This process is less expensive than a production process line cutting and produces the final product stronger, safer and more robust.

The increased pressure causes the piece of the tool let gradually its printed more smoothly on the metal being worked. The tool tip is advanced toward the raw material holding the pressure exerted against it. This causes the printed wires are pressed until they reached total depth. All this happens without waste of material, without material fatigue, with much more precision and speed.
